So much of our lives are lived in our heads these days. We forget that we have a body that has feelings and needs. It is easy to have our minds far away as we are going about our day-to-day activities. We forget where we are or why we walked into a room. We miss-step or bump into things. Sometimes we even blurt out inappropriate words in response to what is happening. All these items can be a symptom of not being grounded. Our mind and body are not working together.
Mental energy builds up in our field and needs to be discharged so we can be present in mind, body, and soul as we traverse our daily living. This can be accomplished in various ways that are simple, yet do take a moment to do. I encourage you to take time to care for yourself and try one of these methods so you may avoid mishaps. If you continue to stay un-grounded, accidents can happen where you or someone else is injured.
Walking or standing barefoot on the earth can be a pleasurable way to discharge mental energy. Soaking in a warm bath with Epsom salts can melt mental stress while grounding your energy using mineral salts. Extending your arms above your head and breathing in, then quickly sweeping them down as you forcefully exhale is another way to get back in your body. Eating spicy food can get your thoughts out of your head and into your body as you enjoy the play of spices on your tongue.
If you want something that gives you a more mindful approach to grounding your body, try this ritual before you get out of bed or soon after you have gone to the bathroom after sleeping/napping.
This ritual promotes clarity of thinking and stability of your body. Also good for after a shock, emotional situation, or when you have trouble focusing.
Place one hand on your lower abdomen and keep it there as you do the following with the other hand.
With the other hand rub your tailbone for a moment.
Then rub the top of your breastbone where your collarbones meet.
Follow this with rubbing above and below your lips, pressing against your teeth, at the same time. (thumb below the lip, index finger above the lip)
Finish with tapping the top of your head.
Repeat with the other hand.
You are now grounded and ready to be your best self! Play around with the different techniques or make up your own. Doing something with your body and paying attention to the sensations are all that is required.

Necessity is the Mother of Invention along with Don’t Spit into the Wind are the two sayings that I feel characterize the coming years after our recent break with reality. Coming to a hard stop across the planet has induced a kind of time-warp and re-evaluation of our individual circumstances. Since gathering in groups is frowned upon right now, looking into the depths of our psyche is nearly our only option. I also think it is long overdue.
To believe our lives will go back to the way it was is as fruitless as spitting into the wind. I ask of us all: would we really want everything back to the way it was? To everything there is a season and for a number of things that season is over. We can express gratitude for the things we enjoyed but also for the items we endured past their expiration date. Now we can make plans for what we want to experience next. From all indications, the individual instead of the group will be expressed and uplifted. I offer my views on the coming trends of the next 10 years.
Our work: Businesses that have offices but no foot traffic that accesses their services will see a growing awareness that “working from home” is a cost-efficient option. Indeed, many companies have utilized this strategy for the last 10+ years. Now that personnel has tried it out, there will be more demand for this opportunity.
Businesses that manufacture or assemble items will become more automated. Employees will have the opportunity to learn skills that run, program or maintain this equipment. Talented individuals will engineer robotics at a much larger scale than used even now. AI will have the ability to anticipate problems with the quality of the product and troubleshoot issues with the machines. 3D printing will also become more prevalent, even for in-home use.
Cottage industries such as hand-built and hand-made items will become valued for their character and story. One-of-a-kind items will be elevated to art status. Service businesses such as personal care, vehicle maintenance, repair shops, along with other areas will continue but there may be more instruction and products geared toward how we can do these things for ourselves.
Shopping: Retail along with food stores will continue with online sales and personal shoppers. Boutiques will replace the large discount stores where personal service will be valued. Specialty items, where you can try before you buy, will be another trend. After you know your size, your favorite flavor, or the ability to check the quality, you will be directed online in the shop or at home to make your purchases. Inventory will be warehoused, much like Amazon does now, or constructed/assembled when ordered. Consumerism at its pre-Covid19 level will wane. Supply chain disruption will occur with many needed items moved to local suppliers. Quality items that last or can be easily recycled will be in demand. Local industry that provides these needed items will grow.
Education: Expertise in a subject will be needed but also an all-around knowledge of how to manage our time and resources. Working from home opens up the need for more tech-savvy folks to innovate and invent new ways to connect. Knowledge will become the new consumer product. Online classes and courses will explode and so will the tutorials from experienced people to teach those skills. Brick and mortar schools will be seen as an expensive product. Online K-12 and universities will see a rise as well as specialized schools, weekend workshops, and technical training centers.
Small groups learning skills that require more hands-on expertise will become the norm. Credentialing will be limited to professions that demand oversight such as medical doctors, nurses, lawyers, accountants, and the like. Certifications will become widely accepted. Homeschooling will rise as well. This won\’t be limited to mainly religious education but be a viable option for a variety of people and abilities. With legislation stalling the formation and utilization of Charter Schools and school vouchers for school choice, folks will find other avenues. Parents may form private co-ops to teach their children.
Medical Care: Within the next 10 years, we will have some kind of emergency medical coverage for Americans. This would include emergency vehicle and work-related accidents, major organ emergencies such as heart attacks, kidney stones, appendix issues, strokes, etc… Healing Centers and Naturopathic Clinics will spring up as a more natural way to get well. People will be more willing to take their healthcare into their own hands. There will be medical clinics like we see now but there will be many more wellness options to choose from. Specialty schools, trainings, and workshops to teach others how to manage their own health will flourish. Most allopathic care will wane as people become healthier and take charge of their personal care.
Living Spaces: With the advent of working, shopping, and education accessibility from your own home, a dedicated space for some of those activities will be a must. Families will be smaller due to falling birthrates so that a third bedroom can easily be converted to this space. Rural towns will become more appealing and living in the city will most likely be relegated to those who own businesses there. Food gardens will be commonplace. New hydroponic systems, vertical gardening, rooftop plantings along with dwarf varieties of fruit trees will be widely used. Composting systems will be offered in new home builds.
Food: With more people working from home and having no commute, making meals at home will be back in style. Having fresh ingredients at hand along with the ability to experience social-media cooking channels and streaming gourmet chefs right on your tech device will make it more appealing. Food co-ops where you subscribe to farm-fresh produce and meat will be an attractive option. By cooking our own food, our health will improve as well. Industrial farming will wane. Governments won\’t be supporting that kind of food production. Folks will be taking a hand in what they put into their mouths.
Transportation: Self-driving cars or anti-gravity propulsion vehicles will be commonplace as will self-driving mass transit buses/subways in larger cities. Personal vehicles will be mainly used for longer trips such as into the city to visit/shop or across the country for pleasure. Smaller vehicles similar to golf carts or three-wheeled bikes will be used for shorter trips. Vehicles will use electric, plasma, or perhaps cold-fusion motors and generators. With fewer drivers on the roads, our infrastructure will be better maintained and need fewer repairs overall. Tractor-trailer rigs hauling goods across the country will be phasing out in favor of making items closer to each area of the country. High-speed electric trains may take over some of the transport that big trucks used to do as well as passenger services. Local supply chains will be valued using local personnel and resources as much as possible. Air travel and cruises will change. With more cost-effective energy, airlines & cruise ships can afford to take fewer passengers but offer more luxury to entice folks to use their services. Long-distance travel will wane for the next 6 years but will resume after that with new improved ways of getting places.
Energy: Fossil fuels will wane over the next several years as newer more efficient means are put into use. Present-day solar and wind will be relegated to the US southwest and the coastlines respectively. Geothermal technology, plasma, cold-fusion, hydrogen gas, and other exotic fuels are on the horizon for possible widespread use. If experiments pan-out with Space Solar Power Incremental Demonstrations and Research (SSPIDR) in the newly formed Space Force, there is a possibility of collecting solar energy, converting it to radiofrequency, and then beaming it down to a projected generating station to provide power. The military will utilize it first but it could eventually make it into everyday use.
Communication: Satellite-based internet public utility with military oversight is a possibility for future communication needs. Phone service could be utilized with this technology as well. Private companies will divest their internet and phone service holdings while converting to provide repair/maintenance services. Software services similar to Zoom and Skype but with a more 3D/HD feel will provide a personal experience for people to communicate face-to-face over long distances and for groups to gather. A portion of folks will eventually enhance their capability for telepathy, negating the need for technology.
Communities: Like-minded folks will find each other and form communities or villages. There will most likely be an industry that contributes to the community purpose and provide a product to sell/barter with other communities across the globe. Communal areas will hold healing centers, technology hubs, and event spaces. Animals will be cared for as companions, humane food production, and therapy. Education will be tailored to individual needs, desires, and aptitudes. Young and old alike will be valued. People will live longer more productive lives due to quality food, personal interaction, purpose, and healthful living. Children will be fewer but they will be wanted and cared for with community help.
Governments: Governmental authority as we know it now, will change dramatically in the next few years. As we each develop our own inner authority, the collective need for central control will diminish. Boundaries of countries will shift and change according to those living there realizing their inner power and communal needs. Digital currencies and bartering will take the place of paper & coinage. Eventually, there will be no need for money as we now know it, but that will be several years from now. Communities will make their own rules along with mutually agreed upon international policies to guide interactions. Censorship will wane as our telepathic abilities grow. Nothing will be hidden as we enter higher states of consciousness.
Climate: Contrary to recent media and uncensored scientific assertions, our planet will not accumulate excess heat nor will sea levels rise to dangerous levels. By all indications of a historical nature, taking into account a longer time-frame than recent climatologists use, we are in the beginning stages of a Grand Solar Minimum. During the transition to a colder planet, our local weather patterns will shift and change. This has happened several times in Earth\’s history. The Sahara was once green and lush. The Antarctic was once as temperate as Central South America. There were vineyards in Northern England. There was also a time when much of the Americas were under a sheet of ice. It\’s not known how severe or long-lasting this colder climate will last, but you can be sure that innovation to adapt will be at the forefront of people\’s minds for the coming years.
Spirituality: As our consciousness evolves, the need for a centralized religion will wane. At the beginning of human spirituality, the gods of ancient times were our compass, and beseeching their favor in ways mundane and horrific was commonplace. We then centralized our worship along with our government through a monotheistic approach. Martin Luther ushered in a more personal god without the government involved, directly at least. We will now evolve leaving off an organizational structure and embracing a personal reflection of our inner spirituality. We may gather concepts from various teachings but at its core, we will recognize our own spiritual essence and connection to the Source of All, however, you choose to describe that being or state.
Conclusion: These are but a few of the things I see for the coming decade. The transition period for some of this activity will be messy at first but as humans grow and evolve, we will welcome the changes. Much of what I have proposed is already happening on a smaller scale in many parts of the world. What will you contribute to the future you desire? The world is in your hands.

I was given this story in my meditations in 2015. I had been seeking an answer to why I was born to a family that doesn\’t seem to understand me. Recently I found the video below this story that confirmed what I found years before. We never truly die. We just change.Put yourself in the story and insert people from your life that fit the various descriptions. Discover who you are in this wonderful game called life.
Once upon a no-time in a no-place, there was, is and evermore a table. This table is large and has many chairs. All around this table and chairs are Masters of a Great Game. These Masters come forward and step back as needed to fill positions in the Great Game. In this Game, the ability to pretend is essential, for here in this no-place and no-time all is Love and Light. All is harmony and oneness. To play the Game is to leave that behind and pretend these things are not there. In the Game, all come to know feelings of lack so that they know what they really and truly have at this moment. At this place of no-place in this time of no-time one steps forward to the table.
“Who will play the Game with me?” asks this one. “ I desire to experience some things so I will know more fully who I am. I desire others who will help me by playing a part in the Game for me and in return, I will play a part for them so they will discover who they are more fully also.”
Many step forward to the table to help this one and also to help themselves, for at this moment there is a Game in progress on the other side that is winding down and nearly finishing an important level. To play at this moment would be especially challenging even for a Master such as they are. Only the best are chosen to play with all others staying on this side to offer help and guidance as needed but even they are limited as to how they give the guidance. The ones on this side can not tell the players directly what to do. They may only nudge those playing by giving signs and urging the players to go in one direction or another. There are many opportunities in the Game because all eventually “win” to go on to the next level if they so choose. In this way, all those playing have choice and free-will. The object of the Game is to discover their true selves and it does not matter how long it takes nor what route the player engages in for there is no right or wrong way in this Game- it is all just experience.
All the players assemble and now this one decides what it wants to experience. “I will be called _[your name]___, in this moment of the Game. I desire to feel a lack of Love so that I may know more fully what Love is on this side. Who is willing to play that role for me and show me a lack of love?”
Another around the table speaks and says, “I am willing to play that part. I desire to feel guilt for in this no-place and no-time I know all is in divine order so pretending to not give you enough love will accomplish my desire. I will play the part of your _[*volunteer]_ in the Game this time.”
“Excellent!” says _[your name]__, “Now, I desire to experience being misunderstood. Who will help me with that?”
“I am willing to play that part since you played that part for me at another point of this Game. I will be your __[*volunteer]__ this time around. I desire to experience confusion and separation so misunderstanding you will fulfill my desire,” says another around the table.
Another one across the table speaks, “I desire to experience self-anger or depression. May I play a role for you in the Game?”
“Yes, if you will be my _[*volunteer]__ in the game, then I can experience what it is like to watch someone hurting and realize I am only responsible for my own well-being so as to not violate others choices,” says ___[your name]_ as they look around the table for more players. “For my next experience, I desire to feel a lack of self-worth. Is there another who will help me accomplish this?”
One next to the one who seeks the “guilt” role speaks up, “I can play that and I will be your __[*volunteer]__ in the Game. I desire to feel no empathy for those different than myself. If you have no self-worth then I can bully you to further your feeling of lack to have this experience with you.”
“Wonderful! This Game is shaping up to be an experience where I will rediscover all the wonderful aspects of this side. All of you will do a great job in your respective roles. I will do my best to give you the experiences you desire in return.” __[your name]__ looks around the table again and asks, “In order for me to not become stuck in any part of the game, I will need those to remind me who I am. Who is willing to play the role of a reminder?”
“I am willing to do that because you were my reminder the last time. I can be a well-loved __[*volunteer]__who gives extra attention to you so that you will feel love without having done anything for it,” volunteers another around the table.
Another volunteer speaks up, “I will help you in that quest and be a__[*volunteer]_ that listens without judgment showing you that you are cared for and thought of with affection.
On and on the discussion goes with many coming forward to help the original speaker and being helped in the process. All willingly took on the roles for the Game just as the original took on their role for them. After the original gets all her players in order another steps forward to plan their experience in the Game. The original comes forward to help this one then that one as each takes their turn in the planning. Lives in the Game overlap and intersect with many twists and turns to keep everything moving and all to experience what they have chosen. Signs are placed along the path to direct the players in many places so that all have the chance to play their parts to perfection. No one is really hurt in their core soul but to feel “hurt” in the Game is essential for the experience.
As each, in turn, leaves the Game through the death of the body, there is a wonderful reunion congratulating each other on their Academy Award performance in The Great Game. Some go on to take on new roles for others coming in and still, others become guides for those still in the Game. Each of them helps the whole to know itself more and more fully so to make the experiences of the aspects of the whole richer, have greater meaning, and expand in consciousness.

Do you remember The Sneetches of Dr. Seuss fame? It was written in 1961 and intended to be a satire of discrimination between races and cultures. When I look at the news or read an online paper, it seems we are living as either the “star-bellied Sneetch” or the “ones without stars upon thars.” The polarity on any issue or between groups has risen to maddening levels. Watch the video version of the story below.
One thing that struck me when I first watched this many years ago was the Ones Without Stars standing on the outer edges of the Star-Bellied Folk and wishing they were part of that crowd. Why did they not just make their own fun and live their own lives? Hoping for someone else to include you in their group seems foreign to me. Where was their imagination and creative spirit? Just because someone excludes you from something they are doing does not mean that you are not valuable in your own right. It seems we are taking others\’ choices and decisions as a personal affront.
Fortunately, in our divided world, some people are taking a stand and going their own way while thriving despite would-be restrictions. In Australia, former restaurant consumers sit outside these establishments having picnics and visiting with people along the sidewalks. They may be on the edge of the Passport-Wielding Star-Bellied folk, but they are making their own fun. This same idea is going on in France.
A group of 2,500 airline professionals has joined a hub started by a Canadian pilot. They, along with would-be passengers, can fly without receiving the shot mandated on most other airlines. This pilot saw an opportunity to provide a service folks needed. Through his initiative, Free to Fly was born.
Prior to the pandemic lockdowns, roughly 3% of the US student population was homeschooled. As of August 2021, that number stands at 11% of American students being taught outside of the traditional public school system. This growing phenomenon is nationwide and encompasses those on both sides of the political spectrum. These students are not from the stereotypical hyper-religious, gun-toting, ignorant families that anti-homeschooling advocates would like you to believe. This trend has hit a tipping point where acceptance of the advantages of homeschooling far outweigh the criticisms some will try to throw at it. Education done under the homeschool umbrella can be as simple as kids studying around the kitchen table or several families joining together to facilitate learning in \”pods.\” Children taught this way can take day-long field trips to places and get a one-on-one experience. Families can do road trips with their vacation time and learn a new language and culture. There are many models to try if you want to be in charge of your children\’s education.
Others are pointing out the unfairness of their country\’s mandates and requirements. There are impressively substantial peaceful protests in Italy, Switzerland, Canada, Australia, South Africa, and even in China, filling major cities\’ streets. In fact, China has seen a massive uptick in the number of protests due to the draconian measures the CCP has perpetrated against its own people. The CCP has long cracked down on the practitioners of Falun Gong, a peaceful spiritual practice. When they are tossed into camps and prisons, the forced organ harvesting of these folks and other political dissidents has furthered that country\’s medical techniques in transplant surgery. The other countries and protests in America are resisting the shot passports that inhibit the livelihoods of tax-paying citizens of these areas.
Though the police and other authorities try to break up protests in Italy using water cannons and fire hoses, the Italians sing and dance while holding each other in the street. First Responders in Seattle brought their uniform boots to city officials as they walk-off the job over the shot mandates. Australian Police also left their job instead of enforcing lock-down rules. Doctors, nurses, firefighters, lawyers, teachers, and regular workers in France, and around the globe, left their employers voluntarily instead of taking the shot. Choosing body autonomy by refusing medical tyranny is a worldwide reality for many folks.
It seems there is no need for the Fix-it-up Chappy, Sylvester McMonkey McBean. Humanity is taking itself into its own hands. Those without Stars, i.e., passports, shots, masks, or fear, are finding their own way. As more people discover their innate power, the control the governments attempt to inflict will be met with indifference. My husband and I found a haven with each other during the beginning lock-downs. Here is my fictionalized version of how we thrived- The Lady and the Warrior in the Land of Kwarinteen. You may want to dam a river, but it will find its way around or through any obstacle put in its path. So goes the human spirit. I wrote about this phenomenon in the post Humanity Can Not Be Squelched.
What I encourage you to do, is live. Live your life your way. If you desire to take the shot, please do. If you are not inclined to take it- for whatever reason- then don\’t. We can not make decisions for other people, nor should we. We are each on a journey of self-discovery and soul growth. What we each do with the lives we are given is up to us and us alone. Suppose we allow others to influence, persuade or force us to do something against our own judgment or inclinations. In that case, we will be living with that consequence. If we attempt to unduly influence or force others to bend to our will, we bear the brunt of the karma that action brings to our door. Let us live and let live.

I worked for a podiatrist for several years. Patients would come in with hurting feet and ankles, exclaiming, “When your feet hurt, you hurt all over!” I knew what they meant. Headaches were my nemesis. Like the sufferers who came to our office, I would hurt everywhere when the pain in my head struck. Our weakest point can make us miserable. Once the painful foot or head was given relief, the body felt okay again.
Our bodies are the microcosm in the macrocosm of the world. When one of us suffers, the rest of us feel it. We can go about our day, take care of business, and be with our loved ones, but there is this nagging splinter in the background. Unconsciously we search for relief. Food, drugs, alcohol, adventure, romance, or drama are sought for a deliverance that is never achieved. Addiction plays a nasty trick on our minds and hearts. Awareness of the root problem brings the release we need but not the fix we crave. It is said, you must hit bottom before you are willing to admit your problem.
Our reality is created by us. Our beliefs and behaviors enforce or deter what we experience in the world. What you give out, consciously or unconsciously, comes back to you. Our emotions give our intentions power. Do you express heartfelt gratitude, or do you say thank you so that you will get what you want? Do you declare \”Sorry\” like a child trying to get out of trouble, or are you genuinely apologetic for your behavior? The world becomes what we are, and reality reflects that back to us. What existence are we creating?
In the first Matrix movie, a child speaks to Neo about bending a spoon-
Spoon boy: Do not try and bend the spoon. That’s impossible. Instead… only try to realize the truth.
Neo: What truth?
Spoon boy: There is no spoon.
Neo: There is no spoon?
Spoon boy: Then you\’ll see, that it is not the spoon that bends. It is only yourself.
Looking at the news and world situation, we reflect on what we believe and how we behave as a collective. We, as individuals, have no control of the mob. It would be like trying to bend the spoon. Healing our own issues alleviates some of the collective sufferings. This is the bending of yourself. Understanding the need for us to adjust instead of demanding the world adapt to us is the key. The mirrored world will only show you the person looking into the mirror. If you see a face that needs shaving in the reflection, you do not put the razor to the glass.
Those of us who are called to be healers do not heal others. We are here to hold the mirror, allowing you to see with clarity the wound within you. Once a person can own and see how they are responsible for their suffering, they can heal it themselves. I have had clients that insist they are fine- everyone else is the problem. I help them see there is no one else- only you. Just like there is no spoon. It is a difficult concept to grasp. Once it is, you aren\’t likely to forget it when circumstances show you your part in the big picture again.
In the movie, the spoon boy has several bent spoons on the floor in front of him. He has bent himself and his self-work has bent the spoons, and they stay that way. When Neo bends, he eventually curls his spoon but gets distracted by a person calling his name. His spoon becomes straight again. Learning to bend our reality, invoking our healing takes time and effort. Distractions will happen. Once we realize that our adjustment or bending is the transformation we seek, our restoration will appear in the world. Believing and behaving to reinforce the reality you desire becomes the permanently bent spoons in front of the boy. It is now a way of life instead of a sporadic occurrence.
The Other does not exist. There is only you. When you understand this concept, healing yourself means healing the world will no longer be impossible to grasp. Our world is our collective reflection. If we see injustice, where do we deny ourselves due process and honesty? Are we in denial about something? Do we lie to ourselves? If we see poverty, where are we feeling lack or inadequate? Do we withhold love from ourselves? Do we demand more from ourselves than we can give? If we see corruption, where have we misrepresented or polluted ourselves? Do we harm ourselves with food we know isn\’t good for us? Do we hide our imperfections and transgressions from ourselves?
Knowing there is no Other can be freeing. If we are the only ones to worry about and deal with, it is a simple matter of adjusting our beliefs and behaviors. The world we experience will have to conform to the new person we are. Who we are reflects outward. Looking deep within and healing our wounds is the answer to changing our reality. Individuals doing this en masse will fix the world\’s problems.

I was a psychiatric care consumer for 16 years. For more than a dozen years, I was actively on multiple prescription psychiatric medications. I was deep in the system, for sure. My family\’s health history could have kept a small hospital running for decades- alcoholism, heart disease, cancer, diabetes, arthritis, along with mental health issues. About halfway through my affair with being non compos mentis, I woke up from my drugged slumber. I spent the last eight years of that time trying to extricate myself from it.
I had been asleep to so many things. Obviously, my own emotional baggage accounted for much of my lethargy. I was in denial of how my behaviors contributed to my illness. I trusted my parents, who had navigated the medical system, and they trusted their doctors. It didn\’t matter that they slowly deteriorated partially from the medical care they consented to and the rest from their own obliviousness to their personal contribution in that area. I followed their example even when it didn\’t feel appropriate for my circumstance. The world around me droned on without my attention nor conscious input. All that was about to change.
The first snooze alarm happened with the insurance industry. Mental health was paid on a different tier than a physical malady. I advocated for this to change by writing congresspersons, insurance companies, and governors. At last, my pleas, and those of the advocacy group I belonged to, were heard. The problem with our victory was TARP, the Troubled Assets Relief Program authorized in October 2008. We had to piggyback on bailing out banks, auto-makers, and insurance groups to get what we considered a humanitarian cause passed through congress. This left a sour taste in my mouth.
The second time I hit the snooze button, I was experimenting with more natural means of care. My insurance did not cover sound therapy, energy work, and alleviating vitamin deficiencies, so I had to pay out of pocket. The Affordable Care Act was passed in 2010. It was a step toward universal healthcare, which included only allopathic measures- prescription drugs and the diagnostic means to determine which one to use. Western medicine treats symptoms, not root causes. Many of my friends at that time were advocating for universal healthcare. I was finding relief outside that system and could not in good conscience join them in that fight.
Most of the medications I took were causing me unbearable side effects. A few were life-threatening. In my quest to get off of all of them, I found resistance from my psychiatrist. He was a caring person, and I thought I had an ally in my care for a time. When I began researching each of these drugs, I discovered I did not give informed consent. The mild complaints listed under each medication were the only ones presented to me when they were prescribed. My system produced all the obscure effects that one could have, leaving me damaged and wondering why. This was when I became fully awake to the world.
Tracing the pharmaceutical companies to congressional lobbyists gave me a partial answer to the questions I asked. Several congressional members had deep connections to these entities- family and/or investments. This discovery led me to how our money is made and the Federal Reserve. The Creature from Jekyll Island by G. Edward Griffin filled in a lot of the blanks. From there, it was a hop and a skip to learn of the United States becoming a corporation (away from being a Constitutional Republic) after the Civil War. Though Lincoln and company emancipated the African slaves of America, we were well on our way to everyone becoming slaves to the corporate system. The Birth Certificate, standardized in the 1930s, became the instrument that made us subject to the corporation and not a sovereign flesh & blood being in the eyes of the law. A cursory trip through Black\’s Law Dictionary will give you a taste of how words have a different meaning if you are on the other side of the real world.
I was, since late 2007, awake to a reality that many have known but have been shunned, derided, censored, hospitalized, or jailed if they dare speak of it. Now, in 2021, thousands of other people are trying in vain to hit the snooze button, but the feeling of \”something ain\’t right\” keeps them from going fully back to sleep. For those of us who have been on this quest for some years, it is incumbent upon us to be kind and remember how it was for us to throw off our blankets and wipe the sleep from our eyes. We have had years to adjust and refine what is true and what is not. Those newly revived will need our calmness and patience as they find their equilibrium amongst the cognitive dissonance in their minds.
We are indeed in this together and cannot afford to leave a fellow traveler behind. There will still be some who can’t make that leap and will defend the trappings of our former western society to their death. Experts and authority figures will be revered, and the status quo, which is rapidly disappearing, will be held in a stranglehold by those who desperately need \”normal\” to return. It is said that prisoners come to love their cage where they are cared for (however abominably), housed, and safe with the devil they know. Allow them their illusions for however long they last. We have better things to do. Our country needs us and our expertise. Creating a world we all want to live and thrive in will be a daunting task, but we were built for this time. How will you contribute to such a world as we have not yet seen?

When we are children, we frequently accept our family at face value. We don’t question why things are done the way they are until we have another household to compare it to. This revelation begins our awakening journey in regards to our clan. Why do the people in our home do holidays this way and my friend’s folks do it another? Let’s look at how we react to the unfolding of our home tribe.
Most children go through a “Why” stage in their development. They question everything. It can seem like they aren’t looking for real answers with their incessant queries. It feels like they just want your attention. My dad was in the Army until I was seventeen yrs old. Dad occasionally worked at a 2nd job, like delivering papers or mowing someone’s grass for pay. Before I started school, I thought everybody\’s dad was in the Army. We went to stores and other businesses where I saw adults out of uniform. My child-mind deduced that this was a side-job if I saw a man working out of uniform, but it might be the regular job if it was a woman working behind a counter. When I saw a woman in uniform, then I had to adjust my thinking again. When I began school, I had an awakening where I found out not everyone\’s dad was in the military. They didn’t move every 18 months either. I also discovered that some mothers worked outside the home while my mother did not.
A story is told about a young girl asking her mother why she cut off a small portion of a large ham and threw it away before cooking the remaining amount in the oven for Christmas dinner. The mom replied it was what her mother always did because that was the way it was supposed to be cooked. The girl asked the grandmother the same question, and she replied that her mother, the child\’s great-grandmother, showed her how to cook a ham. This was just how it was done in their family. The great-grandmother was questioned. She thinks back on her days of cooking ham. She tells her great-granddaughter that she had to cut off the small portion of ham because she did not have a pan big enough to cook the entire thing. She never threw the small piece away. She merely put it in the freezer for later. Asking why can lead to thought-provoking revelations.
After I became an adult and had children of my own, I discovered more about my family. There was much that was never discussed when my siblings and I were living at home. Some of it was pretty shocking, while other information was mild in comparison. After these family disclosures, I saw my parents in a new light. They were human beings doing the best they knew how given the circumstances they encountered. In my early adulthood, I swore I would be different than my parents and rebelled against their advice on some things. When I found out why they behaved the way they did when we were children, I was humbled and proud that they found a way to get things done to take care of us all. Let me share some examples.
Military pay in the 1960s did not go far. My mom sold her diamond wedding rings for $25 to make a down payment on a mobile home for us to live in. My dad worked extra jobs so we could have food, clothing, and pay utilities, but it often left him out of our lives when we were growing up. My siblings and I rarely spent the night with relatives because our parents were sexually abused by members of their extended family. They were protecting us, but we saw it as isolation.
Do you know the history of your family- however that family was made up for you? Have you wondered why your home-life was different from other people you knew? Awakening regarding the true nature of your own clan and dealing with those findings is a good start in learning hard truths about the world around us. We need to clean up our own family skeletons and dust under the bed to clear the cobwebs. It will help us cope with more profound revelations that may be more difficult to digest.
Our Awakening Journey will become progressively deeper as we go. Some items I will be giving you information about may seem too fantastic to be accurate. There will be some things you may already be aware of. To the best of my ability, I will provide sources and examples as we go along. This series will start with simpler subjects to comprehend, but there will be meatier topics as well. Buckle your seat-belts, folks. We are entering wonderland.
